Trump authorizes Arctic drilling solicitation for Alaskan nature reserve

Despite staunch opposition and lacking interest from companies, it now seems that Trump has succeeded in setting up a sale for drilling rights in Alaska's Arctic Wildlife Refuge.

To the great dismay of US President-elect Joe Biden, Donald Trump has now approved a solicitation for drilling rights bids in Alaska's Arctic National Wildlife Refuge.

This will make it possible for companies to secure exploration rights in an area spanning 4,000 square kilometers despite the fact the oil outfits are hardly waiting in line to make offers.
