A new Danish climate policy agreement puts an end to both the 8th exploration tender and further standard solicitations. The entire Danish continental shelf must halt operations by 2050 at the latest, while extra state aid is granted for North Sea CCS.
After a long period of waiting, a final decision has now been made for Denmark's protracted 8th oil exploration license tender, the country's parliament ratifies in broad political accord Thursday evening.
Denmark will send no further standard licenses to tender, and the otherwise ongoing 8th round is being scrapped.
