Ineos demands EUR 54m to move forward with CCS project

Oil company Ineos now sends an ultimatum to the Danish government: A state-financed pilot phase for CCS undertaking Project Greensand will be decisive, says Ineos CCO Mads Weng Gade in an interview with EnergyWatch.

There won't be any CO2 storage under Ineos' oil field, Nini Vest, if the Danish state doesn't finance most of the now-tentative pilot project.

Carbon capture and sequestration (CCS) is supposed to play a central role for Denmark to achieve its emissions reduction objective, as was established in the country's climate policy ratified this summer.
