
Maersk Drilling has signed a conditional contract with French oil major Total for two deep-water rigs to drill for oil in a field off the coast of Surinam in northeastern South America.
The drilling company estimates the value of the deal, a so-called conditional letter of award, to around USD 100 million, according to a press release.
