Maersk Drilling to halve carbon emissions from drilling activities over coming decade

Over the next ten years, Maersk Drilling plans to reduce carbon emissions from its drilling activities by 50 percent. This marks the first time that Maersk Drilling announces a concrete target in this regard.

Maersk Drilling's role as supplier of drilling rigs to the oil companies does not exactly fit with the green agenda, but on Friday the Danish company launched a target of becoming more climate friendly.

Over the next ten years, Maersk Drilling, which leases drilling rigs and vessels, will cut carbon emissions from its drilling activities.
