Wintershall Noordzee "cautiously optimistic" about new Danish oil cluster

Technically, things are looking well, but financial circumstances could curb a major Danish oil build-out, according to a preliminary conclusion on the Ravn project by Wintershall Nordzee, MD Robert Frimpong says in an interview with EnergyWatch.

Since a consortium including Wintershall Noordzee and Danish state-run oil company Nordsøfonden commenced extraction from the Ravn field in 2017, their ambitions have been bigger than one might assume.

The parties remain in full swing on a project that could end up becoming a major expansion dubbed the Greater Ravn Area.
