A.P. Moeller Foundation invests heavily in center for carbon-neutral shipping

The A.P Moeller Foundation injects DKK 400 million into a new test center aimed at finding solutions to make shipping CO2-neutral. Maersk CEO will be a board member at the center, which is also backed by Cargill and MAN Energy Solutions.

Denmark – specifically Copenhagen – will be home to a new team of researchers tasked with finding solutions to make shipping more CO2-neutral.

Around 100 researchers will over the next two to three years be employed at the center, which is backed by industry majors such as Maersk, ABS, Cargill, MAN Energy Solutions, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, NYK Lines and Siemens Energy.
