
Resisting oil lobby pressure takes considerable backbone, says Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg (Conservative Party), who from today, Monday, is continuing negotiations on a major economic stimulus package for the nation's oil and gas sector.
"Norwegian politics has previously shown that it can resist pressure from the oil lobby. It's important that we conduct an independent evaluation of how things will be henceforth, regardless of the pressure put on us," Solberg says to Norwegian media NTB, according to several other media.
