Semco Maritime is hit by both collapse in the oil price and coronavirus

Semco Maritime is one of the many maritime companies that is struggling with the extreme slump in the oil price as well as the coronavirus. "We don't have anything in our toolbox to fix this," says CEO Steen Brødbæk.

Semco Maritime is currently taking fire on two fronts.

The oil price war between Russia and Saudi Arabia has made the oil price collapse, resulting in major consequences for the oil companies to which Semco Maritime is a supplier. Additionally, the world is hit by the covid-19 pandemic, which has made countries shut down and advise against all travel, including Denmark, where Semco is based.
