Equinor wants to boost natural gas demand with CO2 sink

Equinor doesn't think that green hydrogen is the solution for the moment. Instead, the company wants to make hydrogen from natural gas and sequester the CO2 in the North Sea's Northern Lights well.

LONDON

As Europe's second-largest natural gas extractor, Equinor anticipates a future with less demand for its core commodity if nation states truly get on board the greener energy agenda in an attempt to comply with the Paris Climate Accord.
