Norwegian oil wages on the rise again

Activity and optimism are not the only things on the increase in the Norwegian oil and gas sector following years of decline and mass layoffs. Wages are going up as well, which sparks concern among industry executives, write several Norwegian media.

Regional daily Stavanger Aftenblad has spoken to a number of industry managers during oil conference Offshore Technology Days (OTD) in Stavanger, Norway. These top executives are seeing clear signs that wage levels are increasing, fearing that oil companies and suppliers will return to a situation in which prices and wages run amok.
