Maersk Drilling lands deal for Resolute rig

Maersk Drilling has entered an agreement with oil and gas company Perenco concerning the former's drilling rig, Resolute.

Maersk Drilling, listed on Nasdaq Copenhagen as The Drilling Company of 1972, has entered a deal with UK-French oil and gas company Perenco regarding drilling rig Resolute, Maersk Drilling informs via Twitter Monday.

According to Maersk Drilling, the rig will be transported to North Sea oil fields Wollaston and Ravenspurn, where Resolute is expected to operate for 150 days starting in October of this year.
