Denmark faces major lawsuit for Nord Stream 2 delay

Denmark risks a lawsuit for hundreds of EUR millions for delaying gas pipeline project Nord Stream 2.

Development cost for gas pipeline project Nord Stream 2 have grown by so much that Denmark now faces a possible lawsuit for its role in delaying the pipeline between Russia and Germany. Expenses have surged by hundreds of millions of euros.

That is far more than previous estimates, and Denmark now risks being sued for either complete or partial damages, reports Danish daily Politiken on Sunday based on requisitioned appeal case documents sent from Nord Stream 2's attorneys, Bech-Bruun, to Denmark's energy authorities.
