Equinor improved its profit despite slide in revenue

Oil major Equinor was, despite a sliding revenue from lower oil prices, able to surpass expectations and strengthen its bottom line in the first three months of the year.

Revenue took a big step down, but in terms of earnings, Equinor surpassed expectations in the first months of 2019.

In in the first quarter, the Norwegian oil major saw its revenue dip by 17 percent to USD 16.48 billion compared to the same period 2018.
