A.P. Møller-Maersk has decided to abandon its plans of offloading Maersk Supply Service as part of the Danish shipping major's transformation, informs Maersk in a press release to the stock exchange Friday, following a nearly three-year long process of trying to find a suitable solution for the supply carrier.
Despite continuous efforts, no attractive separation solution has been identified for Maersk Supply Service, primarily due to the challenging market conditions with overcapacity within the offshore support vessel industry.
