More than four years after the oil price collapsed, there is still significant unemployment among supply ships in the offshore sector. Even though the price of a barrel of oil is now significantly higher, shows a survey performed by Vessels Value for ShippingWatch.
A little more than every fifth ship in sector is currently stacked, according to the survey, which registers the ships that have not sent an AIS signal for more than eight weeks.
