Aker Energy, controlled by Norwegian billionaire Kjell Inge Røkke, has discovered oil in an offshore field off the coast of Ghana.

Oil company Aker Energy confirms an oil discovery in an offshore field off the coast of Ghana.

More precisely, Aker Energy, part of Norwegian magnate Kjell Inge Røkke's Aker group, has found oil in the Pecan field, situated 166 kilometers south of the town Takoradi in Ghana, writes the company in a press release Thursday.
