Equinor's CEO sees alternative future for the Norwegian shelf

2019 is showing signs of becoming a big year for oil investments on the Norwegian continental shelf. However, Equinor CEO Eldar Sætre thereafter sees "a different" future, he says to Norwegian media Dagens Nærlingsliv.

The future of the Norwegian continental shelf might bode something entirely different.

So says Equinor Chief Executive Eldar Sætre to Norwegian business daily Dagens Næringliv. Sætre expects that 2019 will be characterized by "a very high level of activity," and new investments will be made on the Norwegian shelf. However, subsequent years will not feature equally high levels of growth, says Sætre.
