Kvaerner's order backlog grows

Revenue and earnings dipped at Norway's Kvaerner in the second quarter, though the order book grew.

Norwegian yard group Kvaerner reports a second quarter with a setback in revenue and earnings compared to the same period last year.

On the positive side, the order backlog climbed to NOK 11.2 billion (USD 1.4 billion), a significant improvement compared to the second quarter last year, when the order backlog stood at NOK 9.04 billion.
