Iran oil export at record high before possible renewed sanctions

With the threat of new US sanctions looming over the country, Iran's oil export is at a record high.

Iran's oil export climbed to 2.7 million per day in May, a new record since the lifting of the international sanctions against the country in 2016, and the development comes despite the threat of renewed US sanctions, reports Reuters, citing new numbers from the Iranian oil ministry.

In May, the country exported 2.4 barrels of crude oil per day along with 300,000 barrels of natural gas condensate.
