Borr Drilling again buys rigs for hundreds of millions

Borr Drilling has signed a deal with Keppel to buy five rigs originally ordered by another partner. The rigs will be delivered over the next two years.´

Norwegian Borr Drilling has been out shopping once again, signing a deal with Keppel to buy five rigs currently under construction. The price is USD 745 million, which according to Keppel does not include payments made by the rigs' original owners.

Borr Drilling will within the next 20 workdays pay USD 288 million as part of the agreement, and the rigs are scheduled for delivered between the first quarter 2019 and the fourth quarter 2020.
