Alfa Laval: Maritime division beats expectations

Alfa Laval's order intake was approximately USD 1.18 billion in the first quarter of 2018. The supplier is experiencing increasing activity in oil & gas and offshore.

Swedish supplier Alfa Laval, which supplies pump systems to the maritime industry, finished the first quarter of 2018 with an increased order intake and higher gross profit.

According to the report from the Swedish manufacturer, the order intake exceeded SEK 10 billion (USD 1.18 billion) in the first quarter, against SEK 8.8 billion in the first quarter last year. Net earnings increased by 35 percent to SEK 1.05 billion.
