Merkel wants clarity on Ukraine ahead of Nord Stream 2

Germany's chancellor has indicated that she has grown more opposed to the pipeline.

German media AFP reports that Chancellor Angela Merkel says there will be no Nord Stream 2 pipeline if Ukraine is not granted a role in the project as a transit country. She says that the project is not just financial, but also political.

The statement from the German chancellor indicates that she has grown more opposed to the project.
