Russia was behind the large-scale cyber attack this summer, which hit Maersk among others and caused huge additional costs, says British Defense Secretary, Gavin Williamson, according to the BBC and several other British media outlets.

The UK says that the Russians launched the attack on Ukraine from where it spread to the rest of Europe.
