Brexit negotiations could boost British shale

While the deal surrounding the UK exit from the EU remains unclear, several observers predict that Brexit could prompt a British shale gas revival. 


While shale gas has fluctuated in recent years on the US energy landscape, the the technology has struggled to find a breakthrough in Europe. In the UK, the former government led by David Cameron resumed shale technology and launched several new tenders. However, thus far they have only led to a few small drillings, which will soon be ready for production.
