CEO of Velux steps down

Jørgen Tang-Jensen is stepping down after 17 years as CEO of Velux. His replacement has been recruited internally.

Danish cleantech firm Velux has hired a new chief executive officer. After 17 years in the position, Jørgen Tang-Jensen will step down at the turn of the year, and he will be replaced by the group's 52-year-old head of marketing and support, British David Briggs, states Velux.

"Along with owners and the board, we have planned Jørgen's departure for a long time to best ensure the company's continued positive development and I'm pleased to say that we succeeded in every point," says Velux Chairman Søren Bjerre-Nielsen.
