Novozymes may be headed towards new generation of executives

After 17 years with the company as CFO, Benny Loft is now leaving Novozymes. The executive departure can be considered the first step in a large-scale management reshuffle.

Novozymes will have to spend a hefty amount of orders for business cards over coming months and years. There is a lot to indicate that the company has launched a major management reshuffle which will result in a new CEO within a few years.

Benny Loft was a high-profile CFO, who for years stood alongside first Steen Riisgaard, and then Peder Holk Nielsen, at every annual report presentation. His departure perhaps comes as a surprise to many, but it makes sense in relation to statements made by the relatively new chairman at Novozymes, Jørgen Buhl Rasmussen.
