The largest markets for the industry are located in Germany, China, Sweden, and Norway, according to the district heating sector's new statistics for employment and exports, compiled by Damvad.
The statistics show that the district heating sector exported for DKK 6.7 billion (EUR 900 million) in 2016. This is a slight drop after the record year 2015 in which the industry reached DKK 7 billion.
