Velux heir debuts with record-large profit

The holding company behind the skylight manufacturer increased its profits by 30 percent to DKK 2.6 billion last year. Now the money will be invested, says CEO.

Velux's profit window has never before been opened as wide as it was last year. With a net result of DKK 2.6 billion, profit at the holding company behind skylight manufacturer VKR Holding grew by an entire 30 percent from the year prior, the development marked the continuation of the trend seen in recent years, as the profit increased by a factor of 3.3. This emerged against the background of revenue growth from DKK 17.7 billion to 18.1 billion, shows VKR Holdings' annual report, published Friday morning.

"We are delighted that the initiatives and activities introduced in VKR Holding and our business areas in recent years manifest themselves in a continued positive development in the result for 2016. We regard the year's result as satisfactory", says Mads Kann-Rasmussen, CEO of VKR Holding.
