Jaguar challenges Tesla

Tesla's Model X now faces competition in the first fully electric car from British Jaguar. The vehicle is planned to be capable of driving almost 500 km on one charge.

The first electric car from Jaguar has seen the light of day and is headed straight into fully-fledged competition with the Tesla Model X. The long, low, and what many dub 'beautiful' Jaguar I-Pace was presented to the auto industry late last night, but it will be 18 months before the first buyers can acquire it.

While the Tesla SUV is a relatively tall car, the driver of the electric Jag can lean back in what looks to be an extra sporty vehicle in the SUV segment.
