Tesla founder Elon Musk's ambitious future plans have now secured a concrete European platform. As a first step, Tesla has bought the German company Grohmann Engineering. The purchase will lay the foundation for the company's next large project, a Gigafactory 2, which will be built in Europe.
The enormous factory plant dreamed up by Tesla will primarily produce lithium batteries and household devices.
