Freyr enters new joint venture

Together with Chinese Aleees, Norwegian Freyr will set up a joint venture that will supply cathode materials for its large-scale factory in Mo i Rana, Norway.

Freyr is stepping up its ambitions with a large-scale battery production facility in Norway. To this end, Freyr is teaming up with Aleees, a manufacturer of cathode materials for batteries.

The two companies have signed a Head of Terms deal with the aim of setting up an LFP cathode plant in the Nordic region.
