Engine manufacturer aims to have green engines ready by 2024

Engine supplier WinGD expects to be ready to deliver engines capable of running on alternative fuels such as methanol and ammonia by 2024 and 2025.

Swiss engine manufacturer WinGD has set a deadline for when the company's engines will be able to run on methanol and ammonia.

WinGD aims to deliver engines that can sail on methanol by 2024, while ammonia-powered engines are expected to be ready by 2025, the company writes in a press release.
