Green bonds secure funds for Maersk's new methanol vessels

Maersk has issued its first green bonds to finance the initial series of methanol-powered vessels. The issuance amounts to EUR 500 million.

The Danish shipping major has issued green bonds aimed at financing the initial series of climate-neutral vessels powered by green methanol.

The issuance of EUR 500 million green bonds led Maersk to receive orders of EUR 3.7 billion, according to a press release.
