Freyr signs deal with Glencore

The Norwegian battery company has signed on to receive cobalt from the Swiss-British commodity trader's factory in Norway.

Norway's Freyr has sealed yet another agreement in support of large-scale battery production to be located at the Norwegian industrial complex in Mo i Rana, with commissioning set for the second half of 2022.

This time it entails a deal with Glencore, which will deliver cobalt to the battery maker from the commodity trader's Nikkelverk plant in Norway, Freyr informs in a press release.
