Samsung SDI, Stellantis to produce electric car batteries

The two companies mean to jointly establish a US factory, which will provide for Stellantis' car manufacturing plants in Canada, Mexico and the US.

Samsung SDI, the Samsung group's division for battery production, will collaborate with global car manufacturer Stellantis to make electric vehicle (EV) batteries, states the South Korean company on Friday as cited by Reuters.

The two companies mean to jointly establish a US factory, which will provide for Stellantis' car manufacturing plants in Canada, Mexico and the US.
