Toyota to build its first battery plant in US for more than USD 3bn

As part of the car maker's global plan, Toyota plans to invest over USD 3bn in a US battery factory with production set to commence in 2025.

Toyota plans to invest over USD 3bn in a new battery factory in the US, meant to create 1,750 jobs and ensure the company's transition from fossil fuels to electric vehicles, reports Bloomberg News.

The Japanese car manufacturer plans to commence production in 2025.
