Danfoss to expand supply chains in response to bottlenecks

The Danish industrial group is struggling to secure sufficient amounts of the necessary electronic components to keep up with demand.

Like many other industrial firms, Danfoss is working to regionalize its supply chains following rising freight prices and bottlenecks on the container market.

Normally, Danfoss operates with having two suppliers per electronic component on each continent, but the "severe bottlenecks" seen for all electronic components mean that supply chains have to be expanded, says Chief Executive Kim Fausing to Financial Times.
