Wärtsilä launches a new test program for carbon-free solutions, and the Finnish supplier expects to have an engine that can run on an ammonia fuel blend ready before the end of the year.

Wärtsilä expects to have a maritime engine running on an ammonia blend fuel already this year.

The news comes in conjunction with the announcement of a new, large test program for CO2-free fuels from the Finnish supplier.
