Five percent of marine fuels should be green by 2030

For the shipping sector to comply with the Paris Accord, at least five percent of the fuel used in 2030 must be CO2-neutral, or in other words completely green, reveals a new analysis by shipping industry coalition Getting to Zero.


At least five percent of the fuel used in shipping must be CO2 neutral by 2030 if the industry is to live up to its climate targets set out in the Paris Climate Accord, reveals an analysis by the Getting to Zero coalition.

Getting to Zero was established by a series of players in the shipping industry and aims to launch the first carbon-free ocean-going vessel by 2030.
