A phone call from Toyota turbocharged Corvus' green shipping project

Battery supplier Corvus Energy believes fuel cells could be the key to unlocking shipping's green transition, and an unexpected phone call from Japan's Toyota only fueled the company's belief in the project further.

In collaboration with Japanese car manufacturer Toyota, Corvus Energy has embarked on a project to develop hydrogen fuel cell systems for the shipping industry.

Although the project is still in its infancy, Corvus CEO Geir Bjørkeli is convinced that Corvus, with its existing battery technology paired with the base fuel cell technology developed by Toyota for cars, will be able to contribute to quickly reach a large-scale production.
