Freyr receives EUR 14m grant for pilot facility

Freyr has received NOK 142m from Enova as partial financing for development and establishment of a pilot facility in Mo i Rana, Norway, which is to become Freyr's first clean battery production plant.

Norway's Freyr is now one step closer to finishing its battery project in Mo i Rana, Northern Norway, as the battery manufacturer receives another grant from state fund Enova, the company writes in a press release.

Enova is owned by the Norwegian Ministry of Climate and Environment and contributes to reducing "non-quota" greenhouse gas emissions before 2030, providing support for technological development and innovation that contribute to emission reductions approaching 2050.
