Freyr recruits former Aker CEO

Former Aker Energy CEO Jan Arve Haugan and Hege Marie Norheim, who has worked for both Hydro and Equinor, are appointed to the battery company's administrative team.

Battery company Freyr, which has major ambitions to build a 32-GWh factory in Mo i Rana, Norway, has just recruited two experienced profiles for its top management team.

Freyr has hired Jan Arve Haugan as its new chief operating officer and deputy CEO alongside Hege Marie Norheim as executive vice president of Human Resources, Sustainability and Communication. At the same time, Freyr has also recruited an undisclosed sales EVP.
