German car manufacturers BMW, Daimler and Volkswagen last year tripled their combined electric vehicle sales to almost 600,000 units, thereby zooming past Tesla in terms of EV sales in Europe, writes Financial Times.
Last year, Volkswagen sold 117,000 EVs in Europe, while Tesla sold "only" 96,000 in the same year, show data compiled by vehicle analyst Matthias Schmidt.
