New green hydrogen center to boost EU climate efforts

The project's purpose is to optimize a number of links in the value chain for green hydrogen and promote collaboration across industries.

EIT InnoEnergy, an independent institution formed by the EU to promote innovation in Europe, will contribute to development of a green hydrogen economy for EUR 100 billion per year before 2025.

The goal is to develop a sector within energy that will prove essential to meeting the EU's climate targets before 2050, the institution writes in a statement.
