Wärtsilä appoints new chief executive

Supplier Wärtsilä will soon get a new CEO, as current chief executive Jaakko Eskola steps down. The new CEO comes from automaker Volvo and will take over in April next year at the latest.

Finnish Wärtsilä, which is, among other things, a major supplier to the shipping sector, will get a new CEO.

The company thus stopped by automaker Volvo to hire Håkan Agnevall as its new president and chief executive officer, says Wärtsilä in a press release Wednesday.
