Elon Musk's tweet – Securities and Exchange Commission asks questions

The US Securities and Exchange Commission has asked Tesla to confirm the veracity of Elon Musk's comment after the CEO aired considerations of taking Tesla private.

The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) contacted Tesla on Wednesday regarding CEO Elon Musk's tweet Tuesday on de-listing the company.

That comment played a role in sending up Tesla's share price by 11 percent Tuesday.
