Envision buys Nissan's battery production

Chinese wind turbine manufacturer Envision is now taking its first steps into the energy storage market via acquisition of the battery production division of one the world's largest EV makers.

After having had a 'for sale' sign hanging on its door for some time, the global carmaker Nissan has finally succeeded in finding a buyer for its battery production division.

Chinese Envision, which is a big competitor with Vestas and Siemens Gamesa, particularly in its domestic market, is taking over Nissan's battery manufacturing in the company AESC.
