Nissan senior exec: Electric vehicles will be the more expensive option until 2025

There are many years left until electric cars are as cheap as their combustion engine counterparts, according to Nissan.

Electric cars will continue to be more expensive than gasoline and diesel vehicles until 2025, says Daniele Schillaci, Senior Executive at Nissan, reports the Financial Times.

The car manufacturer has entered a global partnership with Renault and Mitsubishi with the aim of collectively selling the most electric vehicles in the world. Since the partners launched the Leaf in 2010, more than 500,000 have hit the roads.
