Rockwool moves in on European investments in 2018

After years of major investments in new factories in North America, the firm might now set it sights on western Europe. However, the group CEO plans to test the durability of the economic recovery first.


Was it a one-time thing or is it a lasting development that the European economy is growing? Rockwool is mulling over this question at headquarters in Denmark, as the durability of the recovery is crucial for the investment decisions that must be made over the next year.

The construction industry – which for natural reasons is Rockwool's biggest customer segment – depends more than any other sector on growth in the economy. If the recovery in construction continues beyond this year, Rockwool may have trouble avoiding bottle necks on the decisive western European market in the long term.
